The National Building Museum in Washington, DC, invites people of all ages to The Big Build, a free hands-on festival exploring a wide variety of unique, interactive activities with roofers, plumbers, home remodelers, construction workers, carpenters, designers, and artisans. Build My Future is a one-day construction career event for high school students in Northwest Ohio and the surrounding areas. Interactive learning labs from businesses in the skilled trades and building industry will provide students with hands-on opportunities to experience what their future career could look like. Student activities include hands-on learning labs, equipment operation and educational displays.

Oatey University is a training center dedicated to education, research and hands-on practice in support of the trades.
Our 20,000-square-foot facility, located in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio, was developed by our expert team of plumbing specialists for robust in-person and remote learning. We offer full-size mockups of various jobsite settings, including a hotel bathroom and a residential rough-in plumbing system, where individuals can perform installations and earn continuing education credits/certifications.
Bobby Drescher resides in Newnan, Georgia. Plumbing goes way back in his family starting with his great grandfather in the early 1900s. He is a 4th generation licensed master plumber and has been in the trade since 2005 working alongside his brother and dad. Family is a big part of who he is and it’s also what keeps him grounded. He has a loving wife, and two beautiful boys who he hopes to pass down his skills to when they are old enough.
Trey Young resides in St. Louis, Missouri and has been a residential plumber for six years. He strives to set forth dedication and integrity on and off the job site, and he values the opportunity to be creative and display craftsmanship in his career.
Omar Harris resides in Pembroke Pines, Florida and has been in the plumbing trades for 7 years. He has experience in constructional, residential and drain cleaning. In addition, he has his Fire Inspector license and is a certified HVAC technician.
Laura Giudice is a second-year plumbing apprentice from Mississauga, Ontario. She has been enjoying every moment of her apprenticeship- even running her own service van. She has been using Oatey products since day one!
Germaine Nelson resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, and has been working in the trade full-time for 21 years. Throughout this time, he has done commercial, residential and new construction plumbing. Now, he is the owner of Capital Mechanical. He is happily married with two young children; ages 8 and 5 and in his spare time he enjoys sporting events and traveling.
