CLEVELAND, Ohio (June 15, 2011) – Oatey SCS introduces three new pipe support products designed with the installer in mind. Our new DWV J-Hook, Stand-off half clamp, and the patented DuoFit™ were specifically engineered to maintain durability and toughness, while being flexible enough to secure a variety of different types of water management piping. The features of these new pipe supports are designed to make installation faster and easier. Oatey SCS introduces a broad line of pipe caps consisting of Knock-Out™ test caps, End-Cap™, Push-Cap™ and MS End-Cap™ multi-size caps under the Oatey brand. These products were previously positioned under the Cherne brand, but will now be marketed under the Oatey brand and discontinued from the Cherne line. This move is designed to better position these products in the residential and light commercial plumbing market where Oatey is a strong recognized brand.

· Our new DWV J-Hook has pre-loaded diagonally positioned nails for quick and easy placement in the tightest of areas. Locking fingers allow for inverted pipe installation so there is no fear of losing pipe support. Our J-Hook’s are available in sizes supporting 1.5” diameter through 4” and have an I-beam construction for extra strength. Other features include additional holes for moving nails to the ideal location as well as hole locations for the use of cable ties for extra support.
· The new Stand-off half clamp is equipped with a pre-installed nail that provides easy installation and support of the pipe off the stud. The thermoplastic material is suitable in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 160°F and is resistant to impact.
· The patented DuoFit™ product is a product that supports ½” and ¾” CTS copper, CPVC or PEX pipe horizontally or vertically. Made from impact resistant thermoplastic, the design resists damage due to missed hammer blows. It has a pre-loaded nail that positions the pipe off of the stud thus minimizing vibration noise and threat of damage.
